It feels like spring could be around the next corner we turn. Flowers are starting to emerge, the icy wind is dying and the overcast days are interspersed with days of blue skies and sunshine. It’s not warm yet, but it’s enough to feel the sun on your face.
I’m itching for the days when a coat will be an unnecessary burden to carry, when I can walk to lectures without the weight of tweed on my shoulders, or wrapped up to my ears in scarves and collars. Losing the boots and feeling air around my feet, and not having to fight with coat sleeves when I’m writing in lectures seems just days away, but as each clear sky comes, so does a deceptive chill in the air.
It’s not quite spring yet.
